Terms of use

Effective date:

These terms apply to your use of the streamLama mobile app ("streamLama", "the app") and this website. By downloading or using streamLama you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What streamLama does

streamLama lets you live stream your device screen, audio and custom layouts to your own YouTube channel using a stream key you provide. streamLama is an independent app. It is not made, affiliated with or endorsed by Google or YouTube, and it depends on YouTube's live streaming service, which YouTube can change or limit at any time.

2. Your license to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use streamLama on devices you own or control, for your own streaming. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms. If you downloaded streamLama from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app.

3. Your content and YouTube's rules

  • You are responsible for everything you stream, including games, music, images, text and anything else visible or audible on your device.
  • You must follow YouTube's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and live streaming requirements, including its age requirements.
  • Make sure you have the rights to stream the games, music and images you use. Some game publishers set their own rules for streaming and monetizing gameplay.
  • Do not use streamLama to stream content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have permission to broadcast.

We do not see or store your streams and cannot remove content from YouTube. Requests about content on YouTube must go to YouTube.

4. Your stream key

Your stream key gives access to broadcast on your channel. Keep it private. You are responsible for streams started with your key. If you think it has been exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and enter the new key in the app.

5. Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, give a real email address you can access, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings > Account > Delete account, as described on the delete your account page. We may suspend or delete an account that is used to break these terms or the law.

6. streamLama Pro and purchases

Some features are available through an optional in-app purchase called streamLama Pro. Purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms, including their refund policies. Where Pro is offered as a subscription, it renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. The price and what Pro includes are shown in the app before you buy.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep streamLama reliable, but we cannot guarantee that every stream will start, stay connected or reach YouTube, because that depends on your device, your network and YouTube. We may update, change or stop offering features of the app.

8. Disclaimer

To the extent allowed by law, streamLama is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost streams, lost revenue, lost audience or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for streamLama Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using streamLama at any time by deleting your account (if you have one) and the app. We may end your license if you break these terms. Sections 3, 4, 8 and 9 continue to apply after that.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
